I'm considering moving to SW Denver (Lakewood) to be near one of my sons in Evergreen and his family. I live in about the most benign climate in the US - CA Central Coast - where 50 degrees is "freezing" and 80 is "hot." I'm concerned I won't be able to handle real weather anymore.

If you live in an area where 32 degrees is "freezing" are you able to function with SBMA?
