Where have you gone on your last vacation/trip and how was it getting around with KD. Was it Wheelchair friendly? What are your thoughts?

Our last big trip was a two week Panama Canal cruise on Royal Carribean. I have a Golden Companion II scooter that I took on the trip. I have very few problems with airline travel, or on the cruise ship. We did get a handicaped cabin which was very roomy and allowed me to drive the scooter into our cabin. I was able to go anywhere I wanted to on the ship, and in most cases off the ship when we docked. In the ships dining room, I would park the scooter and use a cane to walk to our table. Some excursions can be a problem though. Most vendors can handle wheel chairs, but not scooters. In Acapulco, Mexico I used a wheel chair provided by Royal Carribean. My wife and the excursion guide helped me get around.

I have taken the scooter on other trips to Las Vegas, Disney World, and Palm Desert, CA.
