Stem cell injections may be successful for ALS
Since there has been previous discussion of stem cell therapy on the forums, I would like to bring this new one to your attention. Links are below. Briefly, the characteristics are:
- Stem cells were injected into the cervical spine of 12 ALS patients and improvement was shown in some cases.
- The work was done at Emory University by a reputable, University of Michigan trained principal investigtor.
- The paper is being published in the peer-reviewed journal Stem Cells and was covered by major media outlets including CNN.
