Cam there have been a couple responses to the recent articles on the use of CRISPR. The National Academy for Sciences, the National Academy for Medicine as well as NIH have issued statements on the use of CRISPR.

You can read the statements here: Comments on CRISPR .

As with anything new in this area of manipulating genes, there are always questions on ethics as well as the potential risks. I feel the science and medical communities need more time to evaluate CRISPR since we are moving into uncharted waters.

Since I am not a scientist, doctor or politician, I still view it as a way to potentially find a cure. CRISPR
