Twitching and arm and leg weakness
I was diagnosed with KD in 2011 after a DNA analysis. Went to a specialist because I was experiencing twitching in my neck and arm. I also have my right leg weak unable to lift and my left arm is weak as well. I need to walk with a cane to balance myself or might fall. Do any of you have similar situations?

Hello Greg. Twitching in the muscles is called fasciculation and it is a symptom of KD. Weakness in the muscles is also a common symptom.

This article gives detailed information on most of the symptoms as well as the age of onset. It is well worth reading. http://academic.oup.com/brain/...le/129/6/1446/300025

Thanks Dan, is there anything I can do or take to slow or stop the twitching?

I don't know of any treatment for fasciculations, but you should talk to your doctor about that.

Several people on this board have reported that their fasciculations have reduced or disappeared over time.

For my part I have found that a diet high in sodium makes the fasciculations worse, but I have no idea if that would work for anyone else.
