Forum Rules:
The success of our forums depends upon the quality posts of our participants. We are proud of the success of our forums and give our thanks to those who have chosen to make this site a fun place to visit. To ensure continued success we are posting these guidelines so that all participants of the Kennedy’s Disease Forums understand what is considered unacceptable behavior in the forums and can result in a temporary suspension or a permanent ban. You agree, through your use of this service, to follow all rules below:
1.) Show Respect At All Times:
DO NOT post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.
2.) Trolling Is Prohibited:
Trolling is whenever someone is clearly, deliberately posting in a manner for the purpose of angering and/or insulting the other participants of the board. Trolling DOES NOT encourage further discussion in the long run, it only encourages personal attacks.
3.) Do Not Post Copyrighted Material:
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyrighted material is owned by you or you have permission from the author. If given permission, please post a link and/or give credit to the source.
3.) Do Not Share Private Messages:
Private Messages received are to be considered private and are not to be posted publicly unless the sender of the private message agrees. Participant shall not post messages containing personal phone numbers or addresses, unless it is your own information and done via a private message.
4.) Post In The Correct Forum:
All Forums have a main topic category. When starting a new thread, make sure you do so in the proper Forum or use the "Open Topic" forum if you are unsure where to post. The Administrator may choose to relocate your topic to a more appropriate forum. Please do not post the same thing more than one time in the forums. It is a good idea to search for your topic to make sure it was not already posted. Multiple posts will be removed/merged without warning. Forum members are welcome to post free classifieds, but advertisements are only allowed in the Classifieds section. People spamming our boards will be banned and posts will be removed.
5.) Do Not Impersonate:
Whenever you post a message in our interactive community, your screen name will automatically appear with your message. You may choose a name to use in connection with your messages in the interactive community. However, you may not use a user name (or e-mail address) that attempts to impersonate another person; that belongs to another person, without his or her prior consent; that violates the intellectual property rights of any person; or that the Kennedy’s Disease Forums Administrator deems to be offensive or violative of rules listed on this page.
6.) Maximum Image Sizes:
Please adhere to the following restriction for images. Images that exceed these limits will be removed:
- Maximum size of all image file(s): 100KB
- Maximum height of avatar image(s): 200 pixels
- Maximum width of avatar image(s): 130 pixels
- Maximum height of attached image(s): 300 pixels
- Maximum width of attached image(s): 400 pixels
Kennedy’s Disease Forums shall have the right to immediately terminate any Participant's use of the Kennedy’s Disease Forums site if the Administrator determines in its sole discretion that the Participant has violated the Rules of Conduct set forth herein or otherwise breached this agreement, or has engaged in conduct which the Administrator determines in its sole discretion to be unacceptable. Bans and warnings are not to be discussed on the forums. Any inquiries or comments or bans are to be sent in private messages or via email. A moderator may choose to publicly inform the participants of a forum about bans and warnings if this is in the interest of the forum. Not responding to or ignoring moderator warnings can lead to suspension. Unsolvable problems a participant has with a moderator are to be discussed with the Kennedy’s Disease Forums Administrator (info@kennedysdisease.org)
Although the Kennedy’s Disease Association does not and cannot review the messages posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these messages, Kennedy’s Disease Association reserves the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold Kennedy’s Disease Association harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). Kennedy’s Disease Association reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information that is known about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
