Registered: 08-02-2009 Posts: 204 | Hi Jim, I was amazed to read that you can no longer need the wheelchair or scooter for trips to those big-box stores. That is a tremendous accomplishment. Congratulations! Also cutting back on the prescription meds is a big plus, as some of them are expensive and have unwanted side effects. I think it is terrific you posted this, because a lot of people have been led to believe that SBMA is marked by gradual loss of mobility, so they don't expect any improvement. Your story shows that is not true. I'm sure there is at least one other guy out there who can improve mobility and reduce pain through appropriate use of moderate exercise, and your story may inspire him to try it. You have done a real service for the group! |
