New Promising Treatment for SBMA
Just thought I'd mention that the MDA website has an article about blocking something called JNK which may have a positive effect in SBMA's genetic mutation.

Not much is in detail... Was wondering if anyone here has heard of this.

Dr. Andrew Lieberman from the University of Michigan and a member of our Scientific Review Board had this to say about JNK.

"I read that article and I thought is was really interesting in terms of disease mechanisms. JNK is an important regulator of many cellular processes, and I'm not sure if inhibiting JNK would cause some unwanted toxicity. It's a great question though, and one that needs to be followed by SBMA researchers."

Here are several links. Unfortunately, we do not have a subscription to Nature Magazine or the abstracts (doctors and researchers do): http://www.nature.com/neuro/journal/v9/n7/full/nn1717.html

Also, some of these reports I do not understand at all: http://pdfdl.oceighty.net/pdf2html.php?url=http://www.b...dtcnsnd4-1/0002Z.pdf
