Registered: 02-01-2020 Posts: 1 | Hi, My dad was diagnosed with KD late last year at age 76. His main symptom is head drop syndrome and weak leg muscles. We have tried a few neck collars but none that he finds give enough support and is comfortable enough. He lives in New Zealand and I have recently tried a Head up Collar from Australia (from a UK company) but still he does not find it helping enough to wear. He uses his hand to support his head all the time at the moment. Does anyone have similar issues and what have you found to help best? Another thing is I found the smart exercises on one of the forum but is wondering whether there are anything with pictures as English is Dad's second language and he found it a bit hard to understand. We are also located in New Zealand and is wondering if any members on this side of the world for information regarding accessing support etc. Thank you in advance. Regards, Christina |
