Yes, this is the same trial the KDA contacted you about earlier. If you already expressed your interest by emailing kdareply@earthlink.net, you do not need to apply at NIH. Your information has already been given to the researchers and they will be contacting you shortly.

Even though over 70 applied, only 50 will be selected for this phase II clinical trial. The NIH doctors will screen all applicants for certain criteria. It is our understanding that they will only be able to process two applicants a week. This means that it will take approximately 25 weeks to develop their entire trial group.

There is another update from NIH on the trial that requires additional action from those who wish to paricipate. The latest information on the trial can be found at NIH Trial Update. Please, if you signed up for the trial using the email address provided by the KDA, read the updated trial information.
